2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA). When you visit, the host automatically processes technical data needed to deliver the page (typically IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, and browser/user-agent).

Purpose: providing the website, security, and error diagnosis.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working site).
Retention: as set by the host for operational logs (usually a short period).
Third country: data may be processed in the USA. GitHub uses EU Standard Contractual Clauses and related safeguards under Chapter V GDPR. Details: GitHub Privacy Statement.

3. YouTube video

The homepage can play an embedded video via YouTube (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). The player is not loaded until you click play, and only if you have accepted optional cookies (see § 6). We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com).

On play, Google may process your IP address, device data, and set cookies. Google may process data in the USA.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG (consent).
You can withdraw consent anytime via Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawing also stops a currently loaded player. Google’s policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Prefer not to accept cookies? Use the Watch on YouTube link next to the player. It opens the video on YouTube itself (an external link, see § 7); nothing loads on this site.

4. Booking meetings (Calendly)

“Book a meeting” links go to Calendly (Calendly LLC), an external service. We do not embed Calendly on this site. If you open the link and book, Calendly processes the data you enter (e.g. name, email, time) under its own privacy policy. We receive the booking details to arrange the meeting.

Legal basis (our use of booking data): Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract / at your request) or Art. 6(1)(f) where no contract is intended.
Calendly: calendly.com/privacy.

5. Contact by email

If you email us (e.g. via info@inblock.io), we process the content and metadata of your message to respond.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR, depending on context.
Retention: as long as needed for the conversation and any legal obligations.

6. Cookies and local storage

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this site.

• Consent preference (aqua-cookie-consent in local storage): stores whether you accepted or declined optional cookies. Required so we can remember your choice. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) / (f) GDPR and § 25(2) TDDDG (strictly necessary to provide a service you requested).
• YouTube (only after Accept + play): may set third-party cookies. Legal basis: consent (see § 3).

You can change or withdraw optional consent anytime via Cookie settings in the footer.

7. External links

Links to third-party sites (e.g. GitHub, LinkedIn, product subdomains, documentation) leave this website. Those operators process data under their own policies. We are not responsible for their content or processing.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

To exercise rights, contact us at info@inblock.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For us, that is typically the Thuringian authority: TLfDI (Thüringer Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit).

9. Changes

We may update this notice when our processing changes (for example if we add analytics). The date at the top will be revised. Please check this page occasionally.
