Tim has worked in IT infrastructure since 2010, spanning enterprise network engineering and security, distributed systems, and open-source services for the public sector. As the creator of Aqua Protocol, he leads its technical direction and ongoing development.

Background
2010–2016
Enterprise security. Four years as a network engineer, then as a security engineer at Check Point Software Technologies, consulting enterprises and government departments.
2017–2020
Distributed systems and governance. Founded inblock.io. Served as RChain’s European community ambassador, co-founded the DGOV initiative on distributed governance, and led the restructuring of the Ethereum Swarm project.
2018–2020
Public infrastructure. Consulted the German public sector on open-source alternatives to foreign tech platforms, reducing dependencies and strengthening resilience. Among them dPhoenix at Dataport, known today as openDesk.
Since 2021
Aqua Protocol. Creator and technical lead, guiding the protocol from research and its first public-sector deployment through four protocol versions into real-world implementation.

David has spent over a decade in ecosystem business development, Web3, and advanced AI infrastructure.
Through Tesseract Stakes and the Pathways Project, he is developing infrastructure for user-owned AI workflows and sovereign compute, with Aqua embedded into Pathways’ provenance and deep-context architecture.

Gawain has spent four decades in enterprise ICT, from punchcards and mini-frames to sovereign AI, spanning architecture, security, and many regulated industries.
He advises Aqua on applications and standards in the US mortgage and finance domain, healthcare, and public institutions.

Among them is “Publius Dirac” (GitHub @rht), a developer who has contributed since the first lines of code in 2021 and through every iteration since. He prefers to keep his identity private; his work remains visible in the public codebase.
